My first blog post of the year! When I started this blog
last April, I wasn’t sure if I’d keep it up or not. I also wasn’t sure what
direction to take it, how often to post, etc. I think the main reason I’m still
blogging is that I decided not to put pressure on myself to post regularly. I
only write when I feel like I have something remotely interesting to share, and
I’ve been seeing my blog as sort of an online scrapbook to record experiences.
Writing about them has helped retain things I’m sure would have faded after the
day ended. For example, I’m so glad I blogged about my genealogy road trip and
took all the pictures.
I’m also glad there are people still out there reading what
I write, no matter how small the audience is. Thanks to everyone who reads my blog
and thanks to all of you who’ve stopped by looking for pictures of Colby jack cheese
slices, the Taylor Conservatory, and the new scoreboard at Comerica Park. Yes,
those are the three things that get the most search hits on my blog! Cheese,
who would have thought?
Some things I’m hoping to do this year and blog about are the
2013 NAIAS and another genealogy road trip (location TBD). I’m also looking
forward to celebrating my dog’s tenth birthday this month and Jason’s and my
tenth anniversary as a couple (July).
Happy New Year!

ReplyDeleteWow 10 years! I bet it doesn't feel like it. I'll have been with mine for four this March... feels more like a couple of months!
ReplyDeleteTime really does fly! I can remember those early days like they just happened yesterday. I didn't realize you guys had been together that long, either! :-)
